The Mindfulness Now programme is an accredited programme that provides thorough training in all key features of mindfulness practice.

Developed by the UK College of Mindfulness Meditation, ‘Mindfulness Now, incorporates aspects of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT); the latter which is recognised by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) for the prevention of relapse in recurrent depression.

Mindfulness Now is accredited by the British Psychological Society.

The programme is suitable for anyone that is experiencing stress, anxiety, depression and physical or emotional pain.  It's also suitable for anyone wanting to develop greater self-awareness and have greater understanding and control of their thoughts, feelings, emotions and behaviours. It can help participants to identify positive changes in any aspect of their life, and to act to bring about those changes.

The eight-week programme (or four-week compressed programme) is structured to introduce mindfulness in a gentle, encouraging and engaging manner; each week continuing to build on learning from previous weeks.  It is delivered using a wide range of techniques including breathing, mindful practices including meditation, visualisation, gentle movement and sensory awareness.

Included in the programme is @The Gift' a ‘Mindful Retreat’; offering individuals or groups the opportunity to combine everything that they have learned during the programme.  This takes place between week 6-8 of the programme.

You can engage in the programme individually or as part of a wider group (when a wider group is scheduled).  There is also home practice after each session.  However, mindfulness is infinite – there is no end to the home practice… we all continue to practice.

Programme information:

  • The full course is a minimum of 12 hours in duration and can be completed in four-weeks as a compressed 3-hour per session programme or eight-weeks of 1.5-hour per session.
